Anyway, today was a super busy day for both Colin and I. We went to the market early this morning to stock up on food that we will cook for Kao Fu and Kao Mou on Monday evening. We had promised them a sumptious home-cooked dinner after the Bintan trip! ~so stressed~ I spent the rest of the morning cleaning, scrubbing, vacuuming, mopping, washing...and more! While I scrubbed the toilet bowl, I realised that this would be my way of life for as long as I am a full-time homemaker, and suddenly, for the first time in weeks, I shuddered at the horrid thought!
Immediately called Jac, who has recently also joined the ranks of the unemployed, and we decided to go to the career fair at Suntec City to check the job market out. The career fair, touted to be the biggest ever job fair, turned out to be a real disappointment! There were more education booths than there was for jobs, the only interesting booths we found were both IR-related! One was the Marina Bay Sands recruitment booth, and the other, International Club Games Training Centre, which trains dealers, croupiers, inspectors and other casino professionals! According to them, a croupier (aka dealer), will earn between 2.3k - 2.7k, and that's excluding tips! Not bad for just dealing cards huh?
Anyway, after a disappointing 30 minutes at the fair, we decided to call it a day! Adjourned downstairs for some major shopping (actually, window shopping lah...both of us unemployed mah...must watch our expenditures!) Anyhow, it was fun catching up with Jac, my uni kaki, also my lunch kaki when I was working at ZARA.
Will be off to Bintan tomorrow morning and will only be back on Monday evening. Till then, happy weekend! :)
